Barbara Walker and Shireen Aga have been friends for many years and are now
combining their individual strengths to create a very special hotel on
Mocking Bird Hill. Both have travelled extensively and have experienced the
negative effects of tourism that has not taken environmental and social
responsibilities into consideration. The
purpose of business in not just to make money but to increase the general
well being of the host community.
In addition to her training in hotel management and years of experience in the industry while working in Germany, Shireen also studied and qualified as an expert for environmentally friendly tourism. Both she and Barbara, an artist, who conducts private art classes on request for guests, have been operating and managing Hotel Mocking Bird Hill personally and provide guests with interesting information and support in planning and making arrangements to enable guests to enjoy a most rewarding experience. Shireen & Barbara conduct EarthFoot's Jamaica's Heart & Soul program and Birding around An Upscale Eco/Ethno-Friendly Hotel program. |
