Iulian Cozma
Iulian CozmaMy name is Iulian Cozma, and I would like to introduce myself. I was born 1975 in Fagaras City, at the foot of the Fagaras Mountains, Transylvanian Alps. I spent all my childhood years with my grandparents in Ucea de Sus, again at the foot of the Fagaras Mountains.

By profession, I am an engineer. In 1999 I graduated from the Electrotechnics Faculty from Brasov. Since 1996 I have been a member of the Romanian Mountain Guides Association, and since 1999 a member of the Mountaineering and Climbing Federation. In autumm 1997 I attained, together with my colleagues from RMGA, a course for Professional Mountain Guides witch I graduated in 1998. Thus we have become the first "class" of Romanian Mountain Guides, who are accredited by all the qualified organisms. At present I am general secrerary of RMGA.

I have combed the mountains since my childhood yesrs. My father, a lover of the mountains, used to take me with him as frequently as possible. I got to know the real mountain trip, the real mountaineering, during my first university years, when I became a member of CPNT Brasov. In the same period, I acted for a while in the mountaneering departament of CSU Brasov. Since 1996, together with my colleagues from RMGA, I have made every year numerous trekking and mountaineering in the Fagaras, Bucegi, Piatra Craiului and other mountains from Romania.

I have made the most important mountain tours during the winter, some of them being the northen Fagaras ridges, Buteanu, Albota, Vistea, Zanoaga and the famous ridge Virtopel-Arpasel. I have been a skier since 1988. Til 1995 I took part in the ski competitions from the Meridional Carpathians Cup, which was organized in the Bucegi, Piatra Craiului and Fagaras Mountains.
