  Peter and his wife Lilia and their two children Angela and Calvin are your hosts. Peter was born and raised in Woodstock, New York in the Catskill Mountains. He went into the wood working and home building industry, winning New York State awards for the most energy efficient houses. He then went from the mountains to the sea and reentered college to study Marine Biology in State University of New York (SUNY) at Stoney Brook and later at the University of South Florida (USF) at Bay Borough in St. Petersburg, Florida. He then went on to work with the Florida State Department of Natural Resources as a biologist doing applied research in the aquaulture department with many species of fin fish. And for coastal studies as an aquatic environmental biologist. Both fish and forest brought him to Belize where, in the eighties he helped to promote eco awareness of the environment. For many years Peter worked as a river and coastal guide. He is a licensed tour guide.Lilia, a Belizean citizen and raised in Belize, went on to earn her B.S. in Business Administration at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She and Peter co-developed a fish farm on the west coast of Florida where she studied and learnt fish handling, fish nutrition and health. Lilia and Peter moved back to Belize in 1994 and started our present tour business. She is a licensed tour guide. The Crosses conduct the Belize Highlights, from A Jungle Retreat tour.
