Igor Dikiy

Igor Dikiy Igor was born in 1974 in Lviv. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology in Lviv National University in 1997. During his studying in the University he participated actively in the life of Ukrainian Society for Birds Conservation.

Was a chief of junior study group in the local Children's Ecological Center of Nature. In 1996 was a supervisor of Ukrainian part of joint Ukrainian - Polish project for monitoring of the nests of the Golden Eagle in the Polish Beskids. In 1996-1998 participated in joint Ukrainian-German project "The Dnister".

In 1997 entered the post graduate studying in the Department of Zoology in Lviv National University. The subject of his thesis is "Base rules of reproduction, protection and rational utilization of badger (Meles meles L.) population on the territory of Western Ukraine. Provided a monitoring of large predatory mammals on the territory of The National Reserve of Roztochya and National Nature Park Javorivskyy. Entered Ukrainian Theriologic Society (subject of investigation are large predatory mammals). And in 1999 became a member of International group HELP (help large predators). In 2000 entered Ukrainian Chyroptreriologic society. During his scientific activity published 22 scientific works. Currently he is a junior member of the research staff in the Department of Biology in Lviv National University.

Hobbies: Mountain hiking, walking in the nature, protection of predatory mammals and bats.
