When you sign up for this birding program, any of the following may be your guide:
Edson Endrigo
Edson has been birding with his family since early childhood. He lives in São Paulo, where he shares with everyone his knowledge of the avifauna, usually with a lot of humor. He knows where to find and identify many species. Since 1995 he has been a professional photographer of wild birds, specializing in rare, threatened or badly known species. He learned, in this way, to identify many species in different environments, such as the Cerrado, Atlantic Forest and Pantanal. He has presented his work in the United States, in Tucson, AZ, for the Audubon Society, where he talked about Brazilian birds.
Pedro Develey
Pedro has a Master's degree in ecology from the University of São Paulo. He has ten years experience in bird surveys on different Brazilian ecosystems, such as the Amazon Forest, Pantanal, Cerrado and especially the Atlantic Forest. He is the author of papers about the ecology and conservation of birds published in international journals. Presently he is a PhD candidate in Ecology at the University of Sao Paulo studying the effect of forest fragmentation on Atlantic Forest birds
