Teacher of Biology for 22 years. I taught students of all ages for 14 years in Whangaroa and I would regularly guide groups on this walk. I would focus on the special features of NZ plants seen along the way. We would swim in the waterhole and climb duke's nose. Return by chartered boat. While working at Northland Polytechnic Kerikeri 1996-1999, where I was tutor of horticulture and environmental studies, we would stay overnight at Lane Cove hut as part of field trips studying the special features of the Whangaroa plants and some environmental surveys. 1995-2000.I operated a small business specialising in Native plants from my property at Campbell Rd Totara North. I no longer propagate plants. 2000-2004 Deputy principal Taipa Area School. Biology curriculum coordinator Farnet (internet cluster of Northland schools).
