Karma Jamthso

As a high school dropout I joined as a guide in Bhutan's only travel company 11 years from now. As a guide I escorted groups of different nationalities with their varied interests. Over the years I figured out that some interest of the visitors and the vast potential area for tourism was being ignored. But not just deliberately, because tour itineraries lacked research and planning.

The majority part of the country is thickly covered with natural forest so much so up 70% of the total land cover. So the country boasts rich flora and fauna. In appreciation and to preserve our rich environment I thank the guests for whom I have escorted their trips in Bhutan prior to starting my own travel company, for instilling in me the interests for birding and to feel more for our pristine environment with their valuable questions and respect for nature. In the hope to bridge the gape between Bhutan's tourism and nature I mean to operate our tours in a little way. I look forward to showing you around.

Karma conducts EarthFoot's "127-Km Jomolhari Trek" experience, the Birding Bhutan from West to East experience, plus the The Cultural Heartland of Bhutan program.
