A native of Rajasthan, I lived in Europe for many years (where I learned English, French, and German), before focusing on ecotourism in India in 1986. Upon my return to India I became acutely aware of the need to develop a responsible tourism, one which would combine a deep respect for the culture and people with an authentic experience for the foreign traveler.
Since the 1980s I have offered the opportunity to witness and participate in Indian daily life, particularly rural life. Our tours emphasize the importance of real personal contact with local people, believing that this is the only way for Non-Indians to gain genuine insight into a culture as diverse and complex as that of India. Of course, you will also visit the great sites of classical India. I live at the bungalow complex but when you go on a tour I assign you to my son or a local guide with considerable knowledge of the country, its customs and manners, helping you towards a non-stereotypical understanding and experience of a culture they so deeply love.
