Greg Knox has also devoted
his life to the outdoors. Greg has a degree in Natural Resource Management and has been
employed for several years as a Fisheries Technician. Through this combination of
education and work experience, Greg has developed a strong understanding of wildlife and
conservation issues. I gained my love of the natural world from my father, who was always there ready to take me fishing and exploring. After high school, I went to university, worked in the bush and traveled during the summers. Through my education and travels, I realized how fortunate I was to live in this part of the world. I decided to spend the rest of my life trying to understand and conserve this natural heritage. Having hiked extensively from the high arctic to the jungles of the Amazon, Greg has become familiar with many of the Earths ecosystems. Greg spends his free time observing grizzly bears, fly fishing, scuba diving and running remote coastal rivers in his jet boat, always looking for another adventure and people to share it with.
"I started filming with my father when I was ten or so in the mountains around home looking for new born mountain goats (kids). I was fascinated by the vast ecosystems and, at the same time, always wanted to get closer. From there I purchased my first 35 mm and the explorations began. I come from a large family and we were often out in the woods and mountains. It was on these trips that I started to learn about the land and its wildlife." Fred combines his love of the outdoors and wildlife with a passion for photography. His images have appeared in numerous publications. Limited edition prints of some of his images are available for purchase. Images from his vast stock photo collection may be licensed for specific purposes.
