Mike was born and educated in Cape Town, South Africa, but he has lived in Namibia since 1975. As sales manager of an international oil company, he traveled the country extensively on business, using his free time to re-explore and study the more fascinating areas and their wildlife. In 1994 he turned full time to his interests in tourism and natural history. Mike conducts EarthFoot's "13 Days in the Namib Desert" experience.
