Chris was born and raised in Devon and has been fascinated by geology and the sea since a very young age. Chris is Geological Warden at Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre and teaches geology at St Clare's Adult Education College, Seaton. He runs guided geological fieldtrips when not working at the Centre. He graduated from Plymouth University in 1986 where he read applied geology and geography. He has previously worked as an engineering geologist and published Britain's first magazine for fossil collectors and enthusiasts. Chris has featured on several local television programmes including Wild West Country, Wild about Dorset, Cadles Quest. Spotlight and Westcountry live. He is currently filming a series of geological programmes for Carlton TV. You can see many of Chris's geological illustrations and photographs in local fossil shops and on postcards.
