| The Programa Andes Tropicales is a
private foundation, a Venezuelan NGO founded in 1996, working for the protection of the
natural environment of Venezuela's tropical Andes. The executive director is Yves
Lesenfants. The European Union and the CODESPA Foundation supports the program. The program's goal is to identify and study the causes of the problems that threaten the region's ecosystems and agricultural infrastructure. Rural ecotourism has been identified as offering support for the region's people, plants and animals. The Programa produces EarthFoot's Rural tourism in the Andes program. |
