Hosts Borjigon Bat & his wife Tsetsgee propose to meet you in Ulaanbaatar, introduce you to that city, then take you on a five-hour jeep trip through the country to Ugii Lake. During the drive you will cross areas with Gobi, steppe and mountain steppe landscapes and see sand dunes and the Khogno Khaan Special Protected Area. Later you will visit a herdsman family for introduction to nomadic culture. You will see all five types of domestic animals and their husbandry practices, dairy products making and ger (national dwelling) structure. You will hear many traditional customs and may also take camel or horse back riding. You can enjoy kayaking and you will be introduced to Mongolian history. And the whole landscape will be open to your for birding.
