Length of visit: Our typical multi day tour is five days and four nights (longer or shorter tours can be arranged).

Number of guests: two or more

Fee: $550 per person whether 1 or 10 people: I would consider group discounts for 10 people or more if it is a group traveling together. Tours include lodging, all meals, transportation, bilingual guide and entrance fees. Some use fees may be extra.

On our tours you and your partner, family or friends can enjoy all aspects of Costa Rican rural community life. On our tours you can:

  • learning to cook local dishes
  • Stay in a brand new lodge along side a spring fed river in the cloud forest
  • Eat home made style, delicious typical food prepared fresh for every meal
  • Hike through spectacular nature areas
  • Get to know new local people in different nearby communities each day
  • Learn traditional arts, crafts, folklore, musical instruments and dances
  • Work alongside local farmers in coffee, sugar cane and other tropical crops
  • Participate in the Save the Springs Reforestation Campaign by planting endangered species seedlings

  • Make a traditional clay pot or mask
  • Weave a basket
  • Make your own organic shampoo

BE A FARMER:

  • You can learn the entire process of cultivation and processing of tropical crops such as coffee, sugar cane or bananas.
  • In season you can pick your own coffee, lay it out to dry, roast and grind dried coffee beans and package and drink your own coffee (maybe even with raw sugar you helped to make).
  • This is not a coffee tour, it's a coffee experience!

BE A FORESTER:

  • Participate in the Save the Springs Reforestation Campaign by planting endangered species seedlings.

BE A MUSICIAN:

  • Learn to play a traditional musical instrument such as the marimba.
