First, the itineraries, as described in Marco's own English:
General Tour: 5 day and 4 nights
DAY 1:
Leave at 9:00 a.m. from Manaus's "Floating Docks", we will go down Negro River to see the Meeting of the waters, also a great oportunity to see the river dolphins, after we will continue our trip to the ecological park "Janauary",lunch, visit to the Giant Water Lilies", visit to the Indians' handicraft exposition. Departure from the park to Pagodão River (tributary of Negro River), canoe trip before sunset, dinner, overnight.
DAY 2:
Breakfast, jungle trek with commentaries by Marco, observation of flora, Marco will give you all the explanations about the different ecosystems of the Amazon, lunch, visit to Caboclos people to see how the native people live in the jungle what they plant, what they do to survive in that enviroment, dinner, night trip to see how Marco catches the alligators with bare hands, at night you increase the chance to see more wild life than at the daytime, overnight.
DAY 3:
Visit to the Anavilhanas Arquipelago around the islands, lunch, fishing trip (Piranhas) or if you are an expert try the famous Peacook Bass, dinner, night excursion fishing trip by arpom the same way thet the Indians usse to do, overnight.
DAY 4:
Breakfast, full day into the forest for a complete jungle survival course, notions of orientations, find food, where to find water, how to make traps etc, overnight in the jungle in native huts (the participants will help the guide to do it, make fire, cook the meals, put the hammocks etc.
DAY 5:
Breakfast, paddle canoe trip, lunch back to Manaus, end of our service.

- All of my trips are done by regional boats in hammocks minimum 2 persons.
- For Groups of more than 4 participants an air conditioned boat can be provided

Treking to Six Lakes Hill
The Place: São Gabriel da Cachoeira, from Manaus 800 hundred kilometers up Negro River. São Gabril da Cachoeira is the bigest Indian population not only in Brazil but in South America and is surronded by hills and mountains. The Transfer from Manaus can be made by boat or by plane.
DAY 1:
Departure from Manaus Airpor to São Gabriel da Cachoeira, accomodations in the village of São Gabriel, walking tour around the village, lunch, afternoon free, dinner, overnight
DAY 2: Leave São Gabriel da Cachoeira about 8:00 and drive along the São Gabriel - Cucui Road to the Pico da Neblina National Park until reaching the Six Lakes Hill area,lunch on route, start with the trekking upon reaching in the afteroon the first lake. Build the camp. Dinner/Overnight
DAY 3: Breakfast, exploration of the lake with its strange color, swim, lunch in the aternoon, trek further until the second lake, build the camp. Dinner, overnight.
DAY 4: After breakfast exploration of the area around the lakes by walking, lunch, drive back the Cucui Road and arrival late afternoom at São Gabril da Cachoeira.
DAY 5: Breakfast Fly back to Manaus (About 3 hours)
NOTE: The trasportation from Manaus to São Gabriel can be made by plane or by Boat, and it is paid by the tourist.
PRICE: Land cost US$660 per person. This includs all meals,transportation in São Gabriel, hotel in São Gabriel, mineral water, hammocks. Minimun Participants: 2 perssons
Camping in the Rainforest
Day 1:
Afternoon transfer with departure at 14:00. Transfer by van or bus from Manaus airport or hotel to Ceasa Market port and from there by boat/van/speedboat to the Juma River. Dinner upon arrival. Overnight with native families.
Day 2
Breakfast. Morning preparation for Safari. Introduction to basic jungle survival, lunch, afternoon departure in motorized canoes. Camp out. Dinner near Caboclo riverside dwelling. Night alligator spotting. Overnight in hammocks at our river hut.
Days 3, 4 & 5
Stay far out in the jungle. Camping and cooking out. Most part of the excursion done by paddling. Daily activities. Sleeping in hammocks. At day 5 in the morning return to the native family house in time for the survivers' cocktail. Buffet lunch.Afternoon free. Buffet dinner. Overnight.
Here are some activities for during this time:
- Reconnaissance: Approximate departure at 08:30 hrs or 15:00 hrs in a guided canoe to visit the river area inlets and floaded forest.
- Jungle Trek: Approximate departure at 09:00 hrs. or 15:00 hrs. in a guided canoe to an appropriate area to enter the jungle. The guide will lead you on a trek through the rainforest, explaning about the local flora and fauna.
- Alligator Spotting Tour: Approximate departure at 08:00pm in a guided canoe, in search of alligators, called "caimans". Once they are paralyzed by the light of the flashlight, their eyes go red, enabling the guide to easily locate them. The guide will then try to catch one with his bare hands (depending on size) bringing it aboard the canoe for observation. The caiman is safely returned to the water afterwards.
- Fishing Trip:
Approximate departure at 15:00 hrs in a guided canoe to try to catch local fishes,
such as tucunaré, tambaqui and piranha.
- Visit to a "Caboclo"Dwelling: Appoximate departure at 09:00 hrs. or 15:00 hrs. in a guided canoe to learn about the customs and way of life of these native inhabitants, descedents of the Indians.
- Sunrise Tour:
Approximate departure at 05:30 hrs in a canoe to admire the Amazon sunrise.
Return in time for breakfast.
- Sunset Tour: Approximate departure at 17:00 hrs in canoe to enjoy the Amazon sunset. Return in time for dinner.
Day 6:
Breakfast. Transfer back to Manaus for arrival at 17.00. Drop off either at Hotel or airport

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR ALL TOURS:
- Because of the waters' acid pH, mosquitoes and viruses which cause dengue, cholera, malaria, yellow fever, etc. do not proliferate in the area.
- Radios and guns are strictly forbidden (Walkmans are OK)
- Transfers and local excursions are on regular basis (no guarantee of air-conditioning on any of the transports);
- For safety procedures, maximum luggage allowance on boat is 5 Kg (11 lbs) per person.
Main luggage can be stored in our office in Manaus which has appropriate storing facilities.
- Our packages include full board (brazilian breakfast, lunch & dinner buffet style)
Here is a list of standard gear for the rainforest, divided into "day gear" and "personal gear":
- DAY GEAR: carried by you in back-pack or over-the-shoulder bag:

- Sun protection
- Insect repellent for jungle walks (the more DEET the better)
- Small flashlight, in case of late arrival; for use around lodge, in room, etc
- Camera and lens, plenty of film (50, 100, 200 ASA) and extra batteries for your camera
- Binoculars
- Snacks, candies, gum
- Personal medications
- Zip-lock bags - all sizes
- Hat with wide brim or bill
- Bandana (good for sun protection and to wet for cooling down
- Book or Walkman for entertainment on long boat rides
- PERSONAL GEAR: carried in your duffel-style bag
- Lightweight cotton clothing, including long sleeve shirts and long pants for day use when traveling or making visits
- Extra pair of shoes
- 1 pair of socks per day with an extra pair
- Pair of rubber thongs or other bath-style shoes for use at night in room
and/or to/from bathroom facilities indoors or out-of-doors
- Swim suit
- Large flashlight with strong beam, for night walks
- Extra batteries for flashlights
- Personal toiletries
