This program is produced by Pascual Kunchicuy, a Shiwiar Indian of the Amazon River Basin. For in-depth information during the tour, Pascual relies upon his hired guide, Raúl Tapuy.

hutVisitors should keep in mind that here we are dealing with a truly out-of-the-way place where usual amenities simply are unavailable. At the left you can see where you will be staying. In return for the occasional inconvenience, Pascual and Raúl can offer you profound insights into the Amazonian Rainforest and Shiwiar culture.

ITINERARY

Pascual KunchicuyDAY 1. Bus departs at 10H00 AM, from Quito and arrives in Puyo at 2H30 PM, after lunch you will have an opportunity to visit many touristic place as the indigenous handicraft, and shopping. Planing for next day. Then, dinner and overnight in your hotel. That's Pascual Kunchicuy at the right, exhibiting some of the local handicraft.

DAY 2. Once you are there, you can enjoy authentic amazon species and wonderful waterfalls. We will walk beautiful lookout to see the amazing landscape of Pastaza. We will take a boat ride on the river Puyo and explore the jungle. Also you will learn de Shiwiar Indians lifes, you will see the typical huts and very exotic food and their culture and use the medicine plants and others. This program is available for all ages.

DAY 3. During your expedition you will see many places that we have (like)"Salt-Lake" a place where the big mammals and birds go to have the minerals, particularly is an Jungle Travel that offer local alternative economic activities to the remaning track to the Rainforest. This area are encompassing 67.937 hectares of primary rainforest in border with Peru south east of Pastaza Province.

DAY 4. During your excursion you will observe species of caiman, species of anaconda, species of dolphin, species of birds, species of parrots, species of monkeys, species of fishes, species of amphibians, and species of palm, and jungle trees the majestic ceibo and Cedro 50 mt high.

DAY 5. You will have opportunity to learn how to weave indians baskets using the local fiber and blow guns and darts and ceramic. At night you will observe the witch doctor (uwishin) and be participate of testing (natem or ayahuasca) very powerful hallucination effect.

DAY 6. Return from Rainforest Jungle Amazonian to Shell. Then you will take a bus to Quito. Here the tour has been over.
