Marine Turtle Monitoring
& Tagging Project

marked turtle being releasedKido-YWF Foundation, based at Kido Ecological Research Station in Carriacou, is looking for field Research Assistants to participate in our Sea Turtle and Tagging Programme.

This programme is part of  a WIDECAST (Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network) 2002 project, developed to standardize tagging methodology and record keeping as well as compiling data on a regional basis.

Night beach walks in the nature park area,  monitoring nesting turtles, data collection and disguising existing nests for protection from egg poaching are some of the tasks required from the volunteers.
