Night-time Boat Trip to See
Crocodiles & Other Nocturnal Animals

Travel at night by boat in Celestún Estuary looking for crocodiles, as well as nocturnal mammals such as coatis, fishing bats and birds such as the Boat Billed Heron and the Yellow-crowned Night Heron. This tour provides a magnificent opportunity to see the intensity of extraordinarily bright stars in the dark sky such as few can experience; learn about the Maya interpretation of the constellations, and listen to the sounds of the night. You end the tour with a starlit swim in one of the estuary's unique freshwater springs, called Baldiosera.

Your boat trip will take you through one of the most productive ecosystems on earth: the mangrove forest. The Yucatan Peninsula´s mangrove forests are more extensive than those found in Florida´s Everglades and are much less explored.
