EarthFoot's VisionSomeday we shall promote for free the proposed programs of thousands of independent, very small, locally based ecotour operators all over the Earth. Itineraries proposed at the Posterboard will be accompanied by photos, and appendixes including such items as lists of birds or wildflowers for the localities visited, outlines of local histories, descriptions of local geology, etc. With such diverse material, this site will be one of the most interesting places for a surfer to point a browser. As EarthFoot grows, we shall nudge the currently evolving ecotourism industry in the direction of our small-scale, locally produced, low-impact examples, simply by providing a rainbow of good examples. Once EarthFoot acquires non-profit funding, we shall invest in community-based ecotourism. One of our founders, George Meijer, is an expert on rural telecommunication and the Internet. We visualize George using his expertise in some very innovative ways to help isolated communities in or near natural areas bring money into their local economies with small-scale ecotourism. On a more personal level, part of our vision is the hope that individuals who find us, and who share goals similar to ours, will consider working with us, maybe even joining with us physically in our tiny, gardening-and-Internetting community in the woods of extreme southwestern Mississippi, USA.
